Ayodhya verdict after 14 years in jail, 4 life imprisonment, one acquitted
The accused were accused of conspiracy to attack, they were locked up in jail.
Ayodhya verdict was pronounced in the special court of Prayagraj after 14 years after the terrorist attack on July 5, 2005 in the auctioned premises in Ayodhya. The court has awarded life imprisonment to four convicts. When one of the accused Mohammed Aziz was declared innocent The court sentenced Irfan, Mohammad Shakeel, Mohammed Nafis, Asif Iqbal alias Farooq to life imprisonment. Earlier, on December 8, 2006, the case was transferred from Faizabad to Prayagraj on the order of the Allahabad High Court. Special Judge Atyal Kumar Gupta of Prayagraj District Court reserved his decision two years ago after completing the hearing in March. All five terrorists arrested in the July 5, 2005 attack In the court of Faizabad on Irfan, Asif Iqbal alias Farooq, Shakeel Ahmed, Mohammed Aziz and Mohammed Nasim, the 7 Criminal Law Amendment Act, with the provisions of section 147, 148, 149, 307, 302, 353, 153, 153A, 153B, 295, 120B According to section 16, 18, 19, 20 of the Enlough Amendment Act, the charges were fixed as per the Public Property Damage Act. The accused were charged on 19 October 2006.
Five terrorists were killed in reply proceedings:
On 5th of July 2005, the firing was carried out near the barricades of the Ram Jhambirth campus in Ayodhya without approximation of the sound. The terrorists blasted the bomb here. Many soldiers of the army were injured in the attack. Five suspects have been killed in response to the prosecution. Two general civilians were killed in the attack while seven others were injured.
Hearing and trial were going on for the last 14 years. After a lengthy hearing, Judge decided to decide on June 18. During the investigation, the police arrested five people and accused them of plotting to help and terrorize the people. Those who attacked the terrorists were shot dead. A total of 63 people were questioned in the 14-year hearing. Often the hearing was also done through video conferencing.
It is noteworthy that this attack took place on July 5 when the Ramjanm Bhumi-Babri Masjid Complex was in a particular security. But Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists targeted him. Every terrorist was intruded to India by Nepalese road. However, the security agencies had shot down the militants in one hour and avoided a major attack.
